Choosing the right size
Most cats sleep curled up, so the inner size matters more than the outer one. Measure your cat curled up, or lying down from nose to the base of the tail, and choose an inner size a few centimetres larger. Cats that like to hide choose a cave or a bed with high sides.
A woven mat with a padded rim
- Woven mat: a flat, round, tightly woven mat to lie on; loose hair wipes off it.
- Padded rim: a soft, squeezable bolster round the back half of the bed.
- Printed fabric: the rim and the edging in a colour-block print or an aqua print with ducks and beach balls.
- Dotted underside: a black base covered in small raised dots.
It is a flat mat with a bolster, not a deep bed: the front half is open, so a pet can stretch out across it.

Care and cleaning
Wipe loose hair off the woven mat with a damp cloth, as the photos show, and spot-clean the printed rim.

Does it have sides all the way round? No. The padded rim runs round the back half; the front is open and flat.
