Choosing the right size
Most cats sleep curled up, so the inner size matters more than the outer one. Measure your cat curled up, or lying down from nose to the base of the tail, and choose an inner size a few centimetres larger. Cats that like to hide choose a cave or a bed with high sides.
A woven sphere raised off the floor
- Woven sphere: an open-front round shell woven from synthetic rattan, a plastic weave with the look of rattan.
- Pedestal base: a round woven base lifts the sphere off the floor.
- Cream cushion: a thick round cushion lines the bottom of the sphere.
- Hanging ball toy: a small woven ball on a ribbon hangs inside the opening.
The weave is plastic, not natural rattan or wicker. The maker gives the piece as about 54 x 44 x 54 cm and 5.6 kg, which may include packing, and states no inner size or cat weight; it suits a cat that sleeps curled up. Supervise play with the hanging ball and ribbon. Every photo shows the Apricot colour; Coffee is a darker brown.
