Choosing the right size

Most cats sleep curled up, so the inner size matters more than the outer one. Measure your cat curled up, or lying down from nose to the base of the tail, and choose an inner size a few centimetres larger. Cats that like to hide choose a cave or a bed with high sides.

A den or an open bed

  • Banana shape: a long, curved plush bed with a brown tip at one end and a stalk at the other.
  • Fold-over peel: a padded flap that closes over the hollow or folds back to open it.
  • Hook-and-loop patches: sewn on the peel and the body to hold the peel in place.
  • Padded sides: soft, padded walls round the sleeping hollow.
  • Short plush: soft short plush inside and out.

The size card gives the small size (40 cm long) for kittens and the medium size (51 cm long) for cats of up to 5 kg. A large cat that sleeps stretched out needs a bigger bed.

Which size should I choose? The size card gives S (40 cm long) for kittens and M (51 cm long) for cats of up to 5 kg.

Can the peel stay open? Yes. Fold it back for an open bed, or over the hollow for a covered den; the hook-and-loop patches hold it.

Is it only for cats? It is sized by weight, so a very small dog within the medium size's 5 kg fits it too.
