Choosing a grooming tool
Match the tool to the coat: slicker brushes and undercoat rakes for long or double coats, rubber mitts and bristle brushes for short, smooth coats. Brush in the direction the hair grows and stop if the skin reddens.
Bristles on every side of the tip
- All-round bristles: rows of soft silicone bristles cover the whole tip, front, back and sides.
- Worn on the finger: the hollow cuff slides over your fingertip, so you feel where the brush is in your pet's mouth.
- Ribbed cuff: the base of the cuff is ridged, with a moulded tooth motif on the front.
- Three colours: blue, green or yellow, all the same shape and size.
This is one size, about 70 mm long and 22 mm wide (supplier-stated), made to fit most adult fingers. Each brush is a single piece of silicone with no moving parts. Start with short sessions so your pet gets used to it.
