Match the tool to the coat: slicker brushes and undercoat rakes for long or double coats, rubber mitts and bristle brushes for short, smooth coats. Brush in the direction the hair grows and stop if the skin reddens.

A towelling wrap with a stand-up collar

  • Soft towelling: a looped microfibre towelling made to take up water from the coat (supplier-stated material).
  • Stand-up collar: the high collar covers the neck and closes with a hook-and-loop tab.
  • Belly straps: two wide hook-and-loop straps wrap under the body and hold the robe closed.
  • Chest panel: a front panel covers the chest between the front legs.
  • Piped edges: contrast piping runs round every edge: orange on green, grey and brown, red on blue.

Choose the size by your pet's back length and chest, not by breed. The robe is a drying wrap for the house and garden, not a coat for walks. XS is sold for cats and very small dogs (supplier-stated).
